Holiday Schedule
Offices will be closed on the following Holidays:
New Year's Eve Day, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day.
If a holiday falls on a Saturday, then the holiday will be observed on the previous Friday. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, then the holiday will be observed on the following Monday.

Township Adopts Housing Law of Michigan
At is meeting on August 10, 2016, the Pentwater Township Board approved an ordinance adopting the Housing Law of Michigan, P.A. 167 of 1917, as amended. Adoption of the subject legislation will allow the Township to work with Township property owners with dilapidated or dangerous residential structures to either repair or raze the buildings. The Township also approved specific procedures regarding the commencement of a proceeding under the Housing Law. The Law permits the Township Supervisor to appoint a Hearing Officer to review cases and to render a decision regarding the disposition of a structure. Township Board Approves Budgets and Capital Improvement Programs (CIP) for FY 2018/19
At its meeting on March 14, the Township Board approved budgets for FY 2018-19 for the General Fund and the Pentwater Township Cemetery. The Township's fiscal year begins April 1st and ends on March 31st.

The Board also adopted a Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the Township and Cemetery over the next five years (2016 through 2021). The CIP outlines a plan/program for future improvements to roads, buildings and recreation opportunities in the Township and improvements to the Cemetery over the time period. The CIP is a flexible document and may be altered and adjusted from year to year based upon priorities and availability of funds.

Cemetery Online Burial Search - New Feature
Family members, friends, and others with an interest in researching family histories can now access and view the Pentwater Township Cemetery's burial records online from your computer. In addition to providing information about grave occupants, the service also has the ability to display family history information, if it is known. Site visitors can contribute additional family details via a special online submission form that displays on each grave record's page. If you are interested in serving on the Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Cemetery Advisory Committee, Board of Review, or Road Committee, please complete an application by clicking here (PDF opens in new tab). Property Tax Exemption for Disabled Veterans
Governor Snyder recently signed P.A. 161 of 2013 which exempts property taxes for disabled veterans subject to certain criteria. The exemption is also available for the surviving spouse of a veteran who is not remarried and continues as long as the spouse remains unmarried.
